Nairobi->Mombasa->Seoul->Home

My good buddy and former roommate, Michael, came to visit Seoul on the way home from his semester in Kenya. Mike was only here for about a week, and I think in that time he was mostly just confused and culture-shocked beyond recognition. He has about 36 hours of travel to get back to Kenya to pick up his stuff and head home....WI people please help him in his transition haha.

I love Korean-style roofs.

Chunggyechon Stream

We heard shouting coming from the other end of the stream and went to check it out. This was a pro-war rally in response to the North Korean sinking of the S. Korean ship, Cheonan in the Yellow Sea in March. The man standing with the sign is an evangelist and his sign reads "Jesus"
The slogans used include "Punish the North Korean provokers"
I felt uneasy.

I'm really glad these two met, and so glad Michael could make a stop over. See you again in Madison.

One woman from China in our class, ChouYang, works at a Chinese Restaurant in MyeongDong. Our whole class went to visit her and everyone was just so pleasant and delightful to spend time with. I am blessed that I get to see these people every morning.

Nao = Stellar English and nicest laugh/smile in the class.

The last thing I see before returning home after so many memorable nights/weekends.

MiJin and I went to our date-night favorite spot again, Sally Guitar.

I miss North America.

Michael's coming soon, really excited to show him Sinchon and the people and places that have come to hold a special place in my heart. I have about 2 months left in Korea and it's become a part of me.
